Where to stay in Phuket depends on what you want in the evenings: a quiet beach (Kata Noi, Cape Panwa), walkable nightlife (Patong), or a base near the airport and national park (Nai Yang).

‍

If you're planning island day trips, any of these areas works, because our tours include a hotel transfer. Here are six hotels our guests have booked from, with what's nearby and how each fits a Phi Phi or James Bond Island day.

Six hotels our guests stay in

‍

Katathani Phuket Beach Resort (Kata Noi)

‍
A large beachfront resort on quiet Kata Noi Beach, with six restaurants, six pools and a kids' club for ages 4–12. Kata Noi Beach is a few minutes' walk away and the Kata and Karon Walking Street is about 2 km by road. It's roughly 20 minutes to Patong. In the wetter months the surf can be strong, so it suits beach walks more than swimming.

Dinso Resort & Villas Phuket (Patong hillside)

‍
A hillside resort with Thai heritage design, rooms, suites and villas with plunge pools, and a free shuttle to Patong Beach. Phuket Old Town and Bangla Road are within reach. It's a good fit for couples who want quiet evenings and easy access to Patong.
